When we started the Pursuit, our aim was to deliver new ideas. Ideas that would stretch your mind, shape your daily routine, and challenge you to pursue progress in every area of your life. It's no secret that we often find ourselves reading the articles we feature and include the advice into our diet or training plan for the next week. But this year, we wanted to do something a little different, and I volunteered myself (and others on our team) as tributes if you will.


Each month we will take on a new pursuit that challenges a specific area of intended expansion. These challenges will be as varied as they will be difficult, from daily meditations to deep dives on the new essentialism movement to simply picking up heavy stuff or a new hobby. We will meticulously journal our experiences, openly share our struggles, learn from experts, and hopefully inspire some of you to take on these challenges.


That last point is particularly important to me personally. One of my favorite quotes comes from former Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, who wrote, "Man's mind, stretched to a new idea, never goes back to its original dimension." You should know that we are remarkably unremarkable, and we want to prove that any of you can learn from our experiments and hopefully glean some important insights about yourself in the process.


In short, these challenges aim to expand our minds, our physical capabilities, and our very souls, and in so doing, change ourselves for good. We hope you'll join us, read up on our efforts, and let us know any feedback or thoughts you may have. Who knows, maybe next year we will invite some of you to contribute, and we'll take on your challenges.

Meditate every day. It can be for 5 minutes or 50 minutesit doesn't matter to us. Just take the time to pause, clear your head, and set your intentions each day. Meditate it in the morning before you start your day, or try it in the evening before bed. You may even find us occasionally meditating during our lunch break. Pick a time that works for you, stay consistent, and let's find out together how pursuing meditation can stretch our minds and change us for the better.
