mustard fried bacon burger

This recipe falls under the latter and is certain to become a staple for a quick, balanced bite any day of the week and will be a crowd favorite this Father's Day. Mustard Fried Bacon Burger
Makes 2 servings

4 oz. lean ground beef**

2 slices turkey bacon, chopped

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. yellow mustard

1 tsp. dried minced onions

¼ tsp. garlic powder

¼ tsp. sea salt

Dash black pepper

2 whole wheat buns
-
Butter lettuce
-
4 tomato slices
-
6 dill pickle slices
-
½ of a sweet onion, sliced
Sauce:

2 Tbs. low-fat mayo
-
2 Tbs. plain Greek yogurt
-
½ lime, juice of
-
¼ tsp. chili powder
-
1/8 tsp. onion powder
-
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

1/8 tsp. paprika
-
Sea salt & pepper to taste
Directions:

Heat grill to medium/high heat.

Add ground beef, bacon, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, dried minced onion, garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper to a bowl. Mix with hands until well combined.

Weigh the mixture and split in half. Form 2 patties. Place on the grill and cook for 5-8 minutes per side or until you reach your desired doneness.

Whisk all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Weigh the sauce and split in half.

Heat a frying pan to med/high heat. Grease and add onion rings to the pan. Stir and flip until soft and golden on all sides.

Assemble burger by layering bottom bun, lettuce, burger, tomatoes, pickles, onions, sauce, and finishing off with top bun.
