meet the new line-up: spring 2019
There is no better time than a the start of a new year to take a brief look back and a long, lingering glance forward at what is in front of you.
It’s been said that “Everybody has a plan, until they get punched in the mouth.” And honestly, we love that quote. It’s not about adversity, it’s about how we respond to adversity that really matters.
Maybe the Holidays have left you heavy and the New Year didn’t sparkle with its typical magic. To us, that means that it’s time to get back to the basics. You’ll notice on our site that we have products organized into categories: Training, Running, Recovery, Commuter, and Recreation. These essential categories are the areas of a man’s life where we believe we can streamline things. We never guarantee a faster 5K time, better PRs or any markedly enhanced performance, but we do believe that the right gear can spark something inside all of us.
Our spring 2019 collection was a thoughtful reflection on the basics. Doing the small things better, with careful attention to the details that have always set Rhone apart from the competition, and maintaining those elements of innovation and design that you love. Some of our best-sellers went through some refining and have come out on the other side better than ever.
The Mako, our prized fighter in the training shorts category, now comes in several new colors and patterns, and best of all features the option of a new compression liner. With two different inseams (7" and 9") it really is the answer to the age-old question, “What is the world’s best training short?”
The Spar is back and it brought a few friends. Yes, this jogger is the one product that we are constantly asked about and you’ll be glad to know that we listened. It’s everything you need in a casual weekend pant: comfort, warmth, and style. Pair it with the brand new Spar Crewneck or Full-Zip Hoodie and you’ll ensconce yourself in a fabric so fine, it would put a rabid raccoon to sleep.
Of course, we turned our attention back to running. Once those temps begin to climb, we will re-lace the racers and hit the ground running. The Swift Short returns with a fine supporting cast. The Swift Short Sleeve is an ultra lightweight revelation in the running category. Game-changer is a term we don’t like to throw around often but essentially this shirt is akin to running shirtless. It’s a featherweight flyer that dries in a snap and breathes incredibly well.
