If you have hair (even just a little bit), this is for you. Just like your skin, your hair can be impacted by the changing seasons. But why should you care? Winter winds, chlorine, and sunshine can all play a role in the health of your hair. We’ve narrowed things down to just a few simple things you can implement to keep your hair and beard healthy year round.

SUMMER

it’s important to note that hair is very similar to skin so you should treat it as such. When at the beach or outside for hours at a time you want to protect your hair with a leave-in conditioner or heat shield from the damaging sun rays. Ideally, you also want to deep condition with a protein or moisture mask a couple of times a month to fix any sun, salt water or chlorine damage from the pool. A clarifying shampoo should also be added to your weekly routine to remove chlorine or any harmful chemical buildup if you are always there in a pool.

WINTER

The winter is a little tricky but not as routine heavy as the summer. Cold dry air definitely affects your skin and hair. I recommend to continue a moisture mask routine to prevent very dry hair. Also supplementing with biotin and vitamin D is necessary to compensate for the lack of sun.
